Nanami Momozono was studying her finals and Tomoe offered she quit school since she was so incompetent not only as a god, but also as a human apparently. Nanami ignores him and although he was supposed to be her bodyguard, he was attracting too much attention among the girls. Kurama Shinjirou then arrives and begins arguing with Tomoe. Nanami spots Ami Nekota behind the window looking at Kurama and goes to her, finding out that Ami wanted to thank Kurama for saving her the other day but was unable to due to all the girls surrounding him.
Nanami promises that she will give Ami the chance to talk to Kurama. In the hallway, Nanami puts a Talisman with the word 'air' on it on Kurama's back to make the girls go away. Kurama is a little shocked but Nanami just smiles apologetically and asks him to keep the talisman on and go in front of the chemistry room. Still sad about the sudden lack of girls, Kurama does so. Ami comes running to him and after calling to her, she sees him. She thanks him but Kurama replies that she forgot who she was. Out of embarrassment, she runs, tripping and flashing her undergarments. Isobe immediately starts teasing her. Kurama scares them away and helps Ami up, asking for her name. Up above and watching, Nanami smiles at a job well done but Tomoe calls her an idiot and tells her that if Ami finds out that Kurama is a yokai, Nanami wouldn't be getting any thanks.
Nanami begs to differ and suddenly suspects that perhaps the reason Tomoe was so negative was because he was dumped by a human once before. Nanami says that it was good that yokai and humans should get along and suggests that Tomoe get along with more people but Tomoe says he was fine with only protecting her, making Nanami blush. Later she gets a request from some first years who wished to borrow Tomoe for today since Nanami was always with him. Nanami agrees and gives the girl a chance. However, she is immediately rejected by Tomoe. Above, Nanami studies, regretting her actions and wondering why. Tomoe bangs open the door behind her, angry that Nanami had tried to make him get along with a human girl. He reminds her that she was top priority and just like that, Nanami finally realizes she was in love with Tomoe.
